About Us

The Green Gram is a community owned, volunteer run refill shop in Fordingbridge, New Forest. We're a Community Benefit Society which means we're a not-for-profit run by the community for the community.

We opened in Spring 2022 with the aim of helping local people reduce their dependence on single use packaging for food, cleaning products and toiletries.

We want to make plastic-free shopping affordable and accessible for all.

What We Offer

We stock a wide range of dry foods including pasta, rice and cereals, dried fruits and nuts, flour and sugar, tea and coffee, herbs and spices, oils and vinegars, and sweet and savoury snacks.

Our detergent and cleaning product range includes laundry liquid and powder, fabric conditioner, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, green bleach and more.

We have a variety of soaps and bathroom essentials, plus a range of Faith in Nature refills, including shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

How Does it Work?

Simply bring your containers and we will fill them with your chosen products. You don't need Instagram-worthy jars - old Tupperwares, takeaway tubs and jam jars are all fine.

All our refill products are sold by weight and you can buy as little or as much as you like: stock up with spaghetti for the month or take a teaspoon of turmeric for a single recipe - it's up to you!
