The story so far

The Green Gram evolved out of Gardner’s Zero Waste; a mobile refill shop set up by Alderholt resident Jo Anderson in August 2019. With a nod to her great great grandfather, William Gardner, who owned a dairy and grocery shop in Fulham in the early 1900s, Jo and her trailer built a loyal customer base of people trying to reduce their dependence on single-use plastic. Jo decided to hang up her steering wheel and open a shop in Fordingbridge and in late 2021 a steering group was formed of local people who are passionate about reducing our use of plastic. We are really excited to be working together to bring The Green Gram to Roman Quay, Fordingbridge this spring.

We have decided to open The Green Gram as a Community Benefit Society with a share offer so that as many members of the community can invest both physically and emotionally in the shop.
