Energy Balls

A healthy and yummy snack that's quick and easy to make. The dates give a natural sweetness, while the nuts and seeds provide healthy fats, protein, vitamins and minerals. A delicious hit of energy without the processed sugar!


Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: n/a


Ingredients

  • 150g dates

  • 150g cashews

  • 100g mixed seeds (e.g. linseed, sunflower, sesame)

  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

  • ½ tsp ground ginger

  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder

  • Zest and juice of 1 orange (may need slightly more juice)

  • 2 tbsp desiccated coconut (optional)


Method

  • Whizz everything in a food processor

  • Roll into walnut sized balls

  • If using, put the coconut in a dish and roll the balls to coat them

  • Store in the fridge until needed
